At my brothers wedding this past August my father asked if I would help find a missing friend. I said yes and asked for details. I gave him my email address to pass on for the family of the friend. It turned out that the guy was a distant relative of my father of me and this man had been missing for a while.

I spoke to my dad just now and told me that the authorities found the man and his cousin dead in the desert and were flown to Mexico and burried.

This made me cry. I didnt know the man nor his cousin but being human made me sad and I said to my dad " I can't imagine crossing into this country like that, I can't imagine what it must feel like and the risks involved."

I have a different mentality as most Mexicans. People have referred to me as a Mexican't. I feel like a mut. I know My background is Mexican I know where my grandparents and grate grandprents came from but I'm American. My brother and sisters are American. My parents are American. My mother nor father never crossed illegally and we never worried about them or waited for them to send money. Never worried about dad or mom being alive or arrested.

I've never thought about the families or the actual person who crosses the boarder illegally. How it felt, what are the worries about crossing, who crosses you, how do you get in contact with a person to cross, is there drugs involved, do some take advantage of woman crossing? All of these questions suddenly rushed me. But the one that really gets me is "How did these two men die?"

I'm going to ask these questions, I'm going to ask their stories, ask for their worries and photography the raw emotion. I'm asking everyone who will talk to me, with families here or in Mexico. I'm also going to take along my video camera.

Maybe this project will make me be more compassionate towards illegals.

Mammogram or No mammogram, that is the ?

So this morning I turned on the tele to see a heated debate about mammograms, radiation, age and self examination.

I immediately turned my attention to this debate and finished with shouting at the tele like I'm sure other woman were.

Dr. Susan Love from what I heard is the one who conducted a study or was defending the study which stated that mammograms should only be for woman over the age of 50. Self examination should not be done because they don't work, levels of radiation we are exposed to are to much to handle.

I'm a huge advocate of Early Detection. Because of Early Detection so many mothers, sisters, cousins and friends have survived Breast Cancer, My mother surviving Twice! 98% of woman survive breast cancer because of early detection. How is this wrong?

Levels of radiation being to high is something that people will debate about and I have no problem going against them. This summer when I had a biopsy, 7 mammograms and one untrasound I asked about the radiation. My dr. and the technician told me the radiation of the mammogram is so minimal that it does no harm. I believe it, why? Because these people are exposed to it everyday about 20 to 25 times a day. The staff at Sharp is tested on a monthly basis and when their levels of radiation are to high they are reposted. I'm more afraid for them than I am for myself. I believe we are exposed to more radiation taking a flight from SD to NYC.

With Digital Mammography technology it is possible to check tissue of a 30 y/o. and it shows a lot more of your breast than older machines. I'm due to go back for my six month check up and I'm not afraid of the radiation levels.

Age. So many more woman are getting breast cancer and an early age now that we can NOT afford to wait till we are 50 years old! What is wrong with you?

Such alarming rates of breast cancer among woman in their 20's and 30's and Dr. Love is telling woman to prolong this is so stupid and irresponsible!

I trust that everyone who knows someone who has survived cancer due to early detection will pay no attention to doctors like Dr. Love. The proof is in all of those woman who are survivors!

FYI: On The View this morning that annoying Chihuahua Elizabeth said this kind of medical advice from the current administration was just wrong. Assuming that Obama camp will and had back this up. It's not true.

She does not know what she is talking about. And wants to turn everything into a political fight. Not going to happen.

Mon Oncle a French film from 1958 was on this morning.

A super fun movie, about a little boy and his uncle. His uncle is a little careless but his nephew loves him because he's not boring like his parents caught up in the modern and showing off. A must see. I was amazed at how much I understood also there is not a lot of dialect so it makes it that much more fun.

In a time where everything is about blowing up and action this film is simple and clever. Thats what I like the most.
